Arrival & Entry

On arrival at Grapevine, please proceed to the front gates in an orderly manner with your digital ticket ready or printed ticket ready to show volunteers on the gate. If your ticket is on your phone, please ensure you download the ticket or screenshot it before the event as reception on site can be limited.

If you are arriving on a bus please ensure you remember where it has dropped you off so you know where to go at the end of the event.

Getting There

Grapevine 2022 is held at Rochford Wines Yarra Valley — 878-880 Maroondah Hwy, Coldstream VIC 3770

By Grapevine Gathering Charter Bus

Grapevine Gathering will run a number of bus routes servicing greater Melbourne, charter buses will be departing from the following locations and heading directly to the event. 

  • Melbourne CBD 
  • Bundoora
  • Ringwood 
  • Werribee
  • Dandenong

All charter bus tickets are return trip and guarantee you a seat on a bus to and from the event.

By Grapevine Gathering Local Shuttle Bus

Grapevine Gathering will run shuttle buses to and from Lilydale Station. 

These tickets are one way only and can be purchased both online and from the Box Office at the event. 

When leaving the event there are very limited rideshare cars and taxis available due to the location of Grapevine Gathering, because of this drivers can charge an inflated amount for fares. Our Grapevine Gathering local shuttle bus can transport you to the closest Melbourne Metro train station for an affordable price where there are more cars available and transportation into the CBD

By Drop Off/Pickup

There is a designated Drop Off/Pickup zone for all ticket holders, located close to the main event entrance. 

Upon arrival, cars will be directed to the designated area, it is important to remain in the vehicle until you have reached the Drop Off/Pick Up Zone, this is for your own safety. Please ensure you exit swiftly and do not affect traffic flow. 

By Car

There is limited parking available onsite should you wish to drive to Grapevine Gathering. 

If you are driving to the event you are required to pre purchase a Parking Pass. 

Parking Passes are a way for us to monitor how many cars will be arriving at the site and to ensure ahead of time that there is enough parking for ticket holders.

By Private Transfer

If you are arriving at Grapevine Gathering via a private transfer you will need to purchase a Private Transfer Pass. 

Private transfers are classified as privately organised transportation including party buses, limousines, mini buses and vans. Only one Private Transfer Pass is required per vehicle.

By Rideshare/Taxi

When arriving via Rideshare or Taxi your driver will be directed to the designated Drop Off/Pickup zone. 

It is important to remain in the vehicle until you have reached the designated area, this is for your own safety. Please ensure you exit swiftly and do not affect traffic flow. 

When leaving the event there are very limited rideshare cars and taxis available due to the location of the Grapevine Gathering, we strongly recommend booking ahead of time or arranging an alternate form of transportation home from the event. Our Grapevine Gathering local shuttle bus can transport you to the closest Melbourne Metro train station where there are more cars available. 

What to Bring

In order to make sure you have the day possible we recommend bringing the following items to Grapevine Gathering: 

  • High quality screenshot of your Grapevine Gathering ticket 
  • Valid identification and proof of age
  • Cash and cards 
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat 
  • A jacket or jumper to keep you warm when the sun goes down
  • Reusable water bottle
  • A pair of comfortable shoes

Banned Items

Security will enforce bag checks upon arrival. The following items are banned for your safety and will be confiscated if found in your possession. 

  • Alcohol 
  • Aerosols 
  • Glass (this includes perfume and handheld mirrors)
  • Hydration packs/bladders
  • Skateboards, roller skates and rollerblades 
  • Fireworks and flares
  • Professional recording devices and cameras with detachable lenses
  • Umbrellas
  • Eskys 
  • Bags larger than an A4 sheet of paper 
  • Camping chairs and tables
  • Illegal drugs and weapons 
  • Food

Accessibility

Grapevine Gathering strives towards inclusivity and ensuring our events are accessible, however, please be mindful that the event is set upon natural terrain and is at times uneven and can be challenging to navigate.

Grapevine has put provisions in place to best accommodate people with additional accessibility requirements, for more information regarding accessibility at the event please reach out to us via cheers@grapevinegathering.com.au

Medical & Wellbeing

Your safety and wellbeing is our number one priority.

It is important to stay hydrated, take care of yourself and look out for one other.

We have a zero tolerance policy towards antisocial behaviour, if you see a situation that makes you uncomfortable please report this immediately to one of our staff members, security, police or first aid.

If at any point throughout the event you feel unwell or require medical attention please visit the medical tent. The medical tent is a judgement free zone with trained staff who can assist you with any issues you may have.

Lost & Found

Any lost items are held by the venue, if you have lost an item at Grapevine Gathering please reach out to the venue directly. 

Food & Drink

Our bars are stocked with local wines, popular beers and a number of ready-to-drink options with something to suit everybody.

There will be a range of food options available, catering to all preferences and dietary requirements.

Please note Grapevine Gathering is not a BYO event, any food or drink brought into the venue will be confiscated by security.

COVID-19 Safety

GRAPEVINE GATHERING COVID INFORMATION – NATIONAL EVENT

Grapevine Gathering regards the safety of all those who attend our festival as our number one priority. Grapevine Gathering will occur in a COVID safe manner and follow all advice provided by each state government health authority.

  • If you feel unwell, or are showing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and contact a medical professional for further advice.
  • Please ensure that your tickets have the correct name, phone number and email address on them in the event that contact tracing should need to occur.

COVID-19 At the Event

Whilst attending Grapevine Gathering, all patrons, staff and contractors will be required to adhere to all state health directives as well as all local, state and federal laws.

  • If you feel at any time that you or someone's else's health or safety is threatened, please advise the closest staff member, security guard or police member.
  • Failure to comply with health measures or directives given by either local, state or federal governments, or Event Staff, may result in eviction without the right to reenter or to obtain a refund.
  • If you begin to develop symptoms during the event please make your way to the Medical Tent immediately.

COVID-19 Related Postponement

If, due to increased government restrictions, the event cannot take place as planned, it will not be cancelled. It will be rescheduled, a date will be announced at the time of postponement, if required.

  • All tickets will be automatically transferred to the new event date.
  • If you cannot attend the new date, refunds will be offered at that time. More information will be provided to all ticket holders at the time of postponement.

COVID-19 Related Capacity Reduction

Grapevine Gathering has been planned with the best health advice available at the time. If we are required to reduce capacity, the following will occur.

  • The first purchased tickets up to the allowable capacity will still be valid.
  • All other tickets will automatically be transferred to our next Grapevine Gathering event
  • If your ticket is transferred to the new date and you cannot attend that date, you WILL be able to request a refund.

COVID-19 Additional Information

We acknowledge the incredible and critical importance of ensuring the health and safety of all attendees and the broader public, and the event will proceed only if there is complete confidence it is safe to do so. Grapevine Gathering is in regular communications with the relevant local and state authorities and COVID-19 Safety Plans have been prepared for each individual city.

All events will be compliant with directions of each state’s Health Department. We can assure you that we are committed to meeting the highest level of health and safety protocols for the duration of your experience from arrival to departure. Should any of the events be unable to proceed on the original advertised date, they will be moved to their respective planned backup dates.

Due to COVID 19, some restrictions or impositions may be forced upon us at the last minute. This could include things like the seating arrangements, limitations to queues, items that can and cannot be brought into the venue, social distancing measures, time changes, artist changes and so on. Please continually check this EVENT INFO page and our other communications platforms such as our social media pages, and please keep an eye out for email or SMS communication in the days prior to the event
